Students in universities in England face tuition fees of up to £9,000 per year from 2012, as the government reveals its plans for higher education.
Universities will be able to charge £6,000 with a higher tier of £9,000 - nearly treble existing levels
Shoutout to everyone going to university next year or 2012. £27,000 for a 3 year degree at a top UK uni or £18,000 at all others. £4000 a year for accomodation and like £3000 a year for living.
= £48,000 for a degree course at a top uni
= £36,300 for a degree at most other unis.

This will now take Cambridge and Oxford out of the education system. Since they will just become like harvard and charge insane fees to study so only rich people will go there. So if anyone on here wants to go to Cambridge or Oxford in 2012 think again.

After all, an educated populace is just so much of a hassle to deal with, when you can have a nice ignorant public instead, who can all nicely follow the people with the money and power.
am i fuck going to uni :D
Free healthcare, free schooling.
And if you didn't know, every student above 18 years is getting from 500-750 € each month to live for, which actually means that they are able to support themselves from the age of 18.
Our average salary is about 2500€ new engineering degreed students are able to get a start salary of 5000€ easily.
Yes taxes may be a bit high but still they are nothing compared what your kids get out of it.
Seems like someone is having a hard time (:

I agree, the Danish taxpayer is having a hard time.
You even know how the Danish businesses are screwed together?

What money?
Still at college ftw
EDIT: It's great to see idiots taking out loans with no intention of paying them back, that's the type of people we are breeding here in this country.
I may be biased because I'm studying it, but I really enjoy it's history and making videos etc :D
i will most likely have to pay over 120k for my 4 years or more for 6
not expensive at all
I'll be starting my 3rd year in 2012.
I'm unsure if I'll have to pay £9k for that year? The BBC don't really make it clear. I did read that it doesn't affect the current crop who have started but that may be wrong.
At least you don't have to pay it back till you earn £21,000 - @ a ridiculous interest! Oh, and there goes the idea of using my inheritance when I'm 25 to pay off all the debts, there's going to be a "penalty" to paying it off! Haha, what a joke!!
Kind of glad I decided to stay at home now! Even so, I took out the full amount of loans available to me in the first year so I can get myself a new car and go on a trip around America in the summer!
But as you say, I think people won't even bother if they make us pay the full amount for the final year and therefore will dropout, which would be shit!
