My connection is damaged (since 2 / 3 days), i can hardly use internet and i can't use the telephone.. The support is coming in 6 hours to try to solve it.
So right now i have this amazing inet:
According to my router, i am connected at: Downstream 3205 | Upstream 46
At Portugal you can "easily" have 100/10 or even 200/20mb inet for decent amount of money without being a university lol :) Fiber is getting massive here, but it will take time to reach my city :|
edit: some ppl get higher upload.. My mate has almost 30mb upload and tv for free, it's a bug on ISP system :D

True story mate. The government invested some € 1 or 2 years ago to get fiber all over Portugal (specially because the TV/PHONE/INET packages are getting common over there).
But it's funny how they are getting it at the big cities, while the other small cities (like mine) can hardly get decent DSL (as you can see... my normal inet is 6mb/512kbps)
Looks like you have limited connection by using xxx MB. If you use more than xxx MB, you've to pay more? Is it? At least they offer you a telephone flatrate.

The limits you are talking about refer to the mobile usb stick. The package has ip tv / phone / fiber net at home and 100 or 200mb to use per month outside home with a special usb stick with some mobile card inside (i think, atleast most of them are).

I don't think it was the EU refunds... The 3 major isp's are kinda "rich" (specially Portugal Telecom.. they are like the creators of Portuguese connections) with some help by the Portuguese State they arranged it... But i am not sure...
And to make you even more angry, they are already testing gigabit connections at some cities for the normal users like me :D
