ftp stuck

Hey!
I uploaded smth to my ftp, it over 400mb. It says it's finished (100%) but the uploading screen doesn't want to finish for 2hours now. I remember I had the same before and If I click Cancel , the file I wanted to upload will be gone. Is there any way to fix this? Oh and I am using Total Commander.
