I think the sci fi nature of lost is what makes it so awesome, that and the whole storyline is so unpredictable, new shit happens all the time and new questions arise every show, maybe it has one shortcoming and that is it is somewhat slow in its storyline, in that new misteries are implemented without solving much of the old ones, making it quiet complicated and not so easy to watch for the small brained persons that like's csi.
But i just hope we will be given more insight into why the island was made, why is it so remote, wtf was it that kept them pushing the button soo much. Why can nobody leave it. And many more ;ooo)
But the fact that there are going to be 9 seasons of Lost I fear we are not getting many answers soon =(
I don't really know where you are coming from with that remark, who says it has been discovered, yes there were people there before the plane crash,, but who says that anyone outside of the island knows much about it.
The lure of the show is that it is in fact undiscovered to the outside world, who knows what or who the Hanso foundation really are, are they aliens? Are the "Others" human clones derived from aliens? Is the island itself perhaps locked in a time capsule?
Many questions we have put through perhaps we shall never know the nature of it all until s00n.
