diamondback is better out of the two, although I think copperhead caught up a bit - it use to be proper shit :D

It won't affect on anything without mousepad I guess. And not the sensor type what only matters.

diamondback > copperhead

diamondback outperforms copperhead in any way. Lifting distance, max acceleration, max speed. It stays accurate way more then copperhead, even at insane high speeds.

Reading it's technical info it seems better, except the laser sensor but I don't think it would matter for me since I don't use mousepad.
I used to have a Copperhead back in 2006, can't remember how good it was tho :(
Gonna trade my DiamondBack for a Copperhead tomorrow :)

tech info doesnt say shit. google esreality mousetest or something. thats a great article to help you choose the right mouse. Just skip to the last part of the article to compare the different mice they tested.

diamondback has the best sensor. copperhead is a great mouse when you play high sens but the sensor isnt as good at fast flicks and high mousespeeds. I totally loved the old diamondback, great sensor and shape. It has error correction so it draws nice straight lines which is excellent for ET. Diamondback G3 is ok i guess, whished they still produced the old ones though :'(

Its a good alternative for deathadder and mx518 when you have smaller hands or just want a different shape which is more suited to aiming with your fingers.

mx518 - deathadder 3g - abyssus (doesnt work too well on many pads) - diamondback (palying with this one right now :)

still laying around: deathadder (mouse1 sometimes fails) - mx300 (perfect shape) - mx500 (weight removed + scroll fucked up :) - mx310 (perfect shape) - mx510 (weight removed) - broken diamondback x 2 - microsoft wmo - g5 (used about 2 hours) - broken copperhead - broken pro click 1.6

+ about 7 mousepads :D

well, I don't know how many of these I would find if needed, but let's list all that I have had at some point :P

Logitech: mx 300, 310, 500, 510, 518, 518(new version), G5
Razer: pro click 1.6 (x6), abyssus, diamondback, copperhead, salmosa, deathadder
Microsoft: wmo, IEM 3.1, habu
Steelseries: Ikari optical, kinzu
Roccat: pyra

Think I even forget some :P Anyway, atm I'm using artisan g3 kai mousepad, but otherwise I've mostly used just qpad CT and stuff like that (not much worth mentioning)

And I've liked the infra-red mouses most. On the other hand diamondback was the best as long as it worked

Copperhead has negative acceleration, avoid it's not an upgrade from your diamondback overdrive has said the rest.
