so when do we get 6on6 back?

I got myself one step closer to "stable" gaming environment as I got myself real internet today!
Still busy with lots of stuff but by the time 6on6 is back I should be also able to play more.

So, when are we ready to agree that 5on5 ruined the good gameplay of Enemy Territory.
The Dynamics that supported every aspect of the game has been shaped into a 4 rambo medics teamed up with overpowered rifle per team. Sure, it's easier for lans. That's a good thing, but I dont think good enough. How many out of all the games of ET are being played at lans? better yet, how many games of ET are played on lans that would not have been possible unless ET was made 5v5?

yeah some like 3on3 more, but also some like 6on6 more and now 5v5 is a lot closer to 3on3 gameplay than it is to 6on6 gameplay so we are lacking a format.

well 5v5 is about less spam and more medic spaced reviving than 6v6.. think thats what makes 3v3 players like 5v5 more than 6v6. and yes rifle is over powered but then again our team is playing without rifle mostly :8D some part of maps with rifle MAYBE but mostly without and we are doing pretty good without rifle - so i dont think rifle is really that overpowered if we can compete easily without it?

ET is perfect as it is now, a great ammount of teams have support and we're just waiting for possibly the most skilled LAN ever to be played. I beg you CB and ESL stick with 5on5, we're now having a steady growth in both skilled teams and the financial support for them, people have put so much effort into this for it to be achieved and it would be a shame to let this all go up in dust. Ofcourse we don't have as much LANs as other big games but with the addition of Antwerp Esports Festival and possible Outpost on Fire things are sure looking better then a year or 2 ago. Assuming these LANs will be anual events a healthy LAN environment will be created and alot of highskilled teams will have a reason to stick together and be ambitious, possibly resulting in more events picking up our game. Some people say 6on6 is more fun than 5on5, personally for me (and I guess many others) competition means fun, thrills and adrenaline and most of all trying to be at the top of it. I dont have the feeling that moving back to 6on6 will bring me this and I think many players share this opinion with me.

Look at the ammount of skilled teams now and back then and even back when we still played 6on6. The competition became alot better and everything is open, dignitas doesn't have the clear #1 spot anymore impact got beaten by mvp yesterday, overload has beaten mvp and rage. e-wave has beaten giants, tMoe reaching into the high scene pharaons and oxid becoming better and better and surely will cause some upsets soon.

because there is no point in having two similar formats. it's confusing with tactics and gameplay.

doubt attention whore lan orginizers who host a lan twice a year will go back to 6on6

6on6 would be better probably, and if a poll comes I bet like 70% of people would agree with that, but admins have alrdy said that they wont change it back because they have good reasons for their decision etc. So I wonder what will happen. Will they listen to the people playing this game or will they stick with their own decision?

for the game's future (financial future) it would be best to stay on 5v5 format. if they really wanna make 5on5 work the best way new maps should be made and not just adjust the old maps for 5v5 which was made for 6v6. well wasnt made for i guess you got my point x>

I wouldn't mind either one, but its just the hassle of changing everything to 6o6 again, finding extra players for teams and lan organization, ye it maybe only 2 lans a year but its better than nothing, also more MGCs are showing more interest in this game..even though i would prefer to play 6o6 im not complaining about the current state.

Cause for me 6o6 was uterlly shit because of nobrain rambo only backrapers, and aimless tards playing eng smg only, spaming nades and landmines...

Game is much more dynamic and aimbased now, u dont have space to take fulls... ET will be perfect when we remove riflenades

well yeah, that's your "problem", you dont like too many moving objects.
you want the game to be less "chaotic" and more easily predictable, which leads to your liking of more aimbased and straightforwarded 5on5 format. but like I said in some reply, some people like it better, I know many who don't and who would be willing to switch back to 6on6.
