Never really been fond about that game. Altho it was 1.6 I played once :) Found the gameplay not that much fun compared to a perhaps lil' bit likewise CoD4 ^^
Seems like the CoD-games from CoD4 on aren't that much fun online & competition wise :-) And no, I haven't tried it. Don't think I prolly will, perhaps for the singleplayer. The singleplayers of CoD are always freaking brilliant!
I see, have you gave QuakeLive a shot yet ? Since u're quite the good aimer in ET, that might be likewise in QL I think. But for lans I think CSS & CoD are those attented most :) I'd choose CoD out of the 2, but that's just my opinion.
Can't be that bad :( But QL is also mostly a game of brain, knowing the map & predicting etc. Gut players mostly rely on the knowledge part of the game to win one, but aimwise they're purty powerful as well.

i learned that this game is mostly about camping, and ppl jumping at you with glock and shooting your head :XD
