http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl-Theodor_zu_Guttenberg
At 37, he is Germany's youngest defense minister ever. He comes from a noble Bavarian family that furnished a long line of military officers, including one who was executed for his participation in the 1944 plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Guttenberg is married to Stephanie von Bismarck-Schönhausen, a descendant of Otto von Bismarck, who forged the German Empire in the late 19th century.

and his wife is also a joke, especially her involvement at "tatort internet" on rtl2.
yes, he speaks proper english. but is this necessary to become a good politician? imo there are other aspects more important. he does a great job, but is also a bit "too perfect"
guttenberg is brilliant at public relations. this is what most people - especially out of germany - see most. one example: his last visit in afghanistan was staged perfectly. he booked a pr agency from california (!) to get the best fotos and videos with him. everything from sun glasses to protection vest was provided by and matched with the pr agency. after some soldiers complained about a situation at one helicopter where one single foto was taken over and over again, a debatte started. who is most important: the reputation of guttenberg or the soldiers who are in a life-threatening situation day by day?
i could write even more, but this should be enough. i still have to do much for my next exams... :)
