windows 7.

Win7 is really stable and nice.

is there any problem. Like... vent, et, is there other games which don't support win7?
every program is also made for win7?

i've used 7 for like 2 months now, and it's really nice. I haven't got any problems with ET, vent, irc etc, all u gotta do is to remember to run every program as administrator :))

vent delays only prob but u can fix it by conrtrol + alt + delete search ventrilo.exe and ther priority and set it high ( but u need to do it evrytime when u open vent )

there is only glitch with ventrilo 2.14, but after connecting you need only in task manager set it to real-time priority. i havent noticed more, and ts3 is IMO working better on 7 than xp

and its HIGH not real time mode real time mode causes 2 delays

other story with 3.0, cant remember what u needed to set up in options since im on XP for few reasons

u need to set both to high priority :) if u wanna play normaly and hear ur teammates at vent saying wher they come cause if u use this normal priority u got like 3/4 sec delay :P

win7 is quite fine, everything works...and if there should be anything that doesnt work on w7 just download and install xpmode for free =)

Get minimum 3 GB Ram and you will be fine with it.
I had never problems with software because you can run them as admin and simulate the older os.

with a core 2 duo e7600 and a 5770, there's 15fps of difference (in bc2)

Less fps drop in Et, but i cant have 76fps ALL TIMES.

And it's not smooth at all.

Then you're doing something wrong.

I did timedemos (on ET) on the same gear on XP, Vista and 7.

Exact same results.

I'd run it for other games now too, but I cba installing XP and don't see a reason either.

Besides... newer games WILL run faster at win7 at ANY rate. Unless it's a dx10/11 game with DX9 support... XP will then run it in DX9 resulting in better performance obviously.

Win 7 x64 Ultimate + Radeon 4870 512 mb + Triple Core CPU + 4 GB RAM = stable 125 fps in et, CoD: Black Ops on full + AA, AF at max was smooth, same goes for BC2

XP is cool for ET "Old skool" games.

If your playing new games install Windows 7 but here everyone will say Install windows 7 because it look nicer.

4core's at W7 is oke.

If i where you i will keep XP and install W7 to so 2 windows then you can see what is nicer.
