reya1p, a coder of the ETpro team replied earlier today on a journal about some small changes that could be made to ET. For the next etpro releases you can expect:
The original journal can be found here
Guess most people must have missed it since he replied hours after i wrote the journal.
Fix the bug where the console and the screenshot show different results (not uncommon for the console to say 'objective not reached' while the screen says 'allies win').
Sigh. No, you can't. That doesn't mean we will do them for any particular release, but we are aware of them and would like to do something about them at some point
I only posted to let you know we are aware of those particular issues. You should also know that there are many other things on our bug list, which also might or might not be fixed at some point in the future.
great idea! or smthg like net_restart. match names/tags in demo names sounds very good bcuz if you record a demo named "demo0358" it's kinda hard to remember what was it.
If you can show that changing one of those has an significant effect, maybe we will do something about it. Thus far, I haven't seen any evidence that the complaints about maxpackets are anything but whine. People who claimed it was 'obvious' when someone was netlaming couldn't actually tell the difference.
Also remove the spread increase when jumping/flying/whatever. It's extremely annoying when you can't shoot anyone when you're climbing a ladder or get blown away by a nade. ;I
I believe the only nasty thing that's killing ET as a competitive game is the spread at the time of screenshaking.
All other types of spread (turn/in-mid-air/long shoots) are localy initiated by a player, which is fine.
Screenshaking is also fine, but not when combined with a remotely initiated spread which you get when being hit by an opponent. It would work well on a LAN, but certainly gives an advantage to high ping players online -- experienced and tested it myself a lot. More random strafe and more-or-less stady aim at high ping and you will be fine. Changing the direction of strafing + at the same time repositioning your crosshair on your opponent works well with high ping.
Remember on-line only? It has a certain truth behind it...
I still don't know which one is correct.

Adacore: noted.
