Crossfire movie section

With all the suggestions of improving crossfire being thrown around, the movie section seems to be in dire need of a makeover.

The Rating system:

Quote At the moment crossfire uses averages as a measurement of a movies rating. This is ineffective as it doesn't remove anomolies (as shown). A far more effective measurement would be mode or most common. An example of how bad it is is shown above, the movie forever rage was a dedication and a few 1,1,1,1 ratings ruined the average score, it doesn't show a true reflection of the true rating.


Movie database:

Quote The game icons at the top should link to a movie database, an a-z of each game, only movies added to crossfire. Recently added movies should remain the same

no its not, nowadays there are almost no notable differences between browser performances in regards to speed.

Well, there are differences in running Javascript, Flash and starting up the browser. In my experiences, Chromium (or Chrome, basically the same thing) starts up the fastest, Opera the second-fastest, Firefox the third-fastest and IE is the slowest. Pretty much the same for JavaScript.

and IE has shit pop up blocker and other stuff. It's so much slower. Read something before you make stupid comments

No it's not. Last year some PC site made performance test, Chrome was a little bit faster but using it is harder and isnt as good for the user as firefox

Well, around the time I was thinking about changing to chrome, firefox had been running so slow it really agitated me. I switched to Chrome and it was literally 10x faster. Opening web pages was/is nearly instant.
I admit that Chrome is difficult to use, but now that I've gotten use to it, it's much easier to navigate.
It's organised in a futuristic fashion

Average of median and the average of the numbers.. If you know what I mean ;)

We can get those nice fractions that way, while still keeping it realistic.

E: Or average of mode and the average. Whatever, but the fractions just make it look pro and "truly community-chosen" :-P

make numerous accounts and get m8s to make numerous accounts and vote 10,10,10 for everything then the most common will be 10.

Profit.

Nice idea though , the rating system atm is just epic, the haters just vote 1,1,1,1 regardless and push the average way down.

voting is very bad on crossfire anyway, even without angry voters. If somebody make a movie with no effect, demo+mp3 style only and good quality then you get insta 6-7 points.

Interim measure just do it like fusen did - knock out the top / bottom x% then create an average. Remove both extremities.

Though people should rely more on the 'review' bit.

Weighted voting was also talked about (and initially the purview of the movie admin)
