Seems real. You must take into account training, logistics, wear and tear, fuel, etcetra. Its not only about the amount of bullets shots.

Then you have to think. How much money a country gets for the war. Imagine all the factorys and other supplys that are needed will work at full capcity. Its money. If I remember right in Documentary. USA economy grow a lot durring wwII and same goes to Germany.
