Busted. Nice try with fake help ;(.
Are you after a more compact camera (e.g. that lumix) or a bridge camera (DSLR-like with fixed lens e.g. that fuji)
Based on my limited experience (lol) with compact cameras, they're all the fucking same thing, only when you go towards more of a D/SLR etc then things change. Compact cameras are more of a point and shoot, find one you like and just buy it. You'd get decent range of each brand like Canon's powershot and the G series like G10/G11 are real nice cameras, Panasonic lumix.
Please don't go looking for a camera with the highest megapixel and expect it to be better because it really doesn't work like that. More depends on what you wish to do with the pictures afterwards, a 5MP camera can print great A4 pics, probably A3 with a good sensor, 10MP I've had nice A2 prints.
Fuji's bridge cameras are quite nice for beginners or lazy bastards, I've had one a while ago for a trip to NZ as it was only £200 or so and didn't care if it broke :(
