Im wondering about the following issue :
I want to buy a new headest, but i didnt decide which one, yet.
At the moment my headset is a 5.1 headset, which makes it pretty easy to locate the opponent ingame.
Would it become harder if i used a STEREO headset ? I will probably try the Steelseries siberia v2 headset, but i just read that its a stereo one.
So ppl, please help me out , im sure some of you guys are using a siberia headset :)
Is the Sound very different compared to a 5.1 headset ?
I only have a onboard 7.1 soundcard, so its nothing too special.

and yes there is a difference in quality, in that stereo headphones will have FAR better quality for price because with quality of the audio is dependant on the quality of the mechanical drivers. "5.1" heaphones pack multiple drivers into a small space, this reduces the size of the drivers and means the cost of the headphones either increases or they use cheaper/worse drivers
ergo, get some nice quality stereo headphones (hint: most gaming cans suck) which will probably last you a few years and be sweet
tbh, you can trust Sennheisers

in low budget and mid- and high-end
I would get some decent headphones for example the HD555 or up with mic clip on. Headphones have mostly much better sound quality than most headsets.
