Up until a couple of weeks ago, I have always had 50-60 ping on most UK servers and 60-70 on most dutch servers. Recently, I am lucky to get a stable 100 on servers from both countries. I Have not changed my connection or swapped isp´s or anything like that. This isn't a server issue because the 3 servers I've most played on haven't changed anything either and I've always had 50-60 ping on them So far.
Does anyone have any idea why this is? I've tried unplugging the other pc in the house etc.. And this is not on certain times or anything, it's always like this. So my question is, before I call my ISP what in one's connection determines ones ping? What should I ask them about? If they ask like: "is loading websites slower? Or downloading going slower? I can't just go "No you see I can't get 50-60 ping on english servers"
Will sleep with whoever comes up with something useful ;*

Welcome to my world.
oh yeah to be serious, do not trust the ping to a gameserver since it is not reliable.
download the newest tptest and do the tests: http://tptest.sourceforge.net
high ping or other connectivity issues can have so many reasons. check everything in your home that could cause problems, if you cant find anything call your isp.
Do I get to sleep with you now?
