firefox is so awful i want to cry
for years i though it's the best, moving forward to chrome and i can't even touch firefox again, wow it's so shit its incredible
FireFox, because I love the plugins
I tried Opera for a while but it couldn't open some pages, even a simple html page with some javascript on it caused a blank page in opera (this was 4 year ago though but I never touched the browser again, except in my mobile because the default symbian browser sucks)
Didn't test chrome because for some reason I still think google is saving every word I type on it's servers to show me some adds (which I blocked in FF)
And well IE, it's actually quite decent these days, but I keep using FF because of the plugins
IE is decent, did you already test the IE 9 beta? Oke is isn't as fast as chrome maybe, but good enough for daily use if you don't need any plugins. It's good enough for 90% of the people on the internet.
IE6 was a pure hell, it was getting better with IE7 (finally we got tabs!) and with IE8 it became a decent browser which is good enough for the majority. And with IE9 it's only going to get better.
i couldnt stand IE 8 anymore i had to use it a bit and imo its not any close to FF and specially chromes level. I dont know abut opera tho i never used it.
well i dont know what it does exactly, i am not a specialist regarding internet things, but i read that even the part of the german government which is working for data safety, announced that its unsafe to use chrome...but that was a while ago.
maybe it changed with updates, i dont know.
but i mean, chrome is installed on your pc, google is just a search engine...at least a software which you installed yourself would make it easier for google to get your datas.
true FireFox can be a bitch sometimes. And the browser you use is always a personal thing. Some people believe google is god and therefor chrome is superior to all other browser, some even think google owns the internet ^^
The main thingy that annoys me with FireFox is the slow starting, but when it's running it's fast enough for me.
good luck finding the best browser for you ;)
You can also try:
- Avant Browser (uses the IE render engine)
- Safari (most seem to forget it's also there for windows)
- SlimBrowser (uses IE engine, but looks terible imo)
- Maxthon (using the WebKit engine but can also switch to IE)
- Mozilla SeaMonkey (well it's an app suite with email etc, but worked on by the community and not mozilla itself)
well i need a browser that is easy to use and doesnt have too much stuff on the window like a taskbar and shit... (chrome got a good design there...i need space for my eyes! :D
also it should be safe and fast, but i think opera is a good choice there (?!)
which "smaller" browser else could you recommend regarding that requirements i have?
you could try the Maxthon browser, it can put the taskbar in the title bar, which is in my opinion better as no taskbar at all. And it has enough security options.
But Opera is a good choice too, although I didn't use it myself lately so can't say anything of the performance.
and dunno, i am using opera at the moment, i wouldnt say that chrome is less userfriendly.
chrome just uses less space and well ok, maybe sometimes you have to search for some options if you want to change something but i dont think that this is a big minus.
Google chrome
Firefox
Internet Explorer 8
i like the way it looks and has the best performance combined with user friendly
i had to use IE for 2 days (dont ask why) and it eventually got me tired of being on my computer. it was damn irritating to use that shit.
because
it really is the best
;D
for years i though it's the best, moving forward to chrome and i can't even touch firefox again, wow it's so shit its incredible
I tlooks nice, it loads fast, it operates fast, it's an easy GUI.
I have FireFox installed, but rarely use it.
I tried Opera for a while but it couldn't open some pages, even a simple html page with some javascript on it caused a blank page in opera (this was 4 year ago though but I never touched the browser again, except in my mobile because the default symbian browser sucks)

its decent if u browse the internet for 15m every day, not any longer. its irritating to use it for some hours
chrome is great try it out
IE6 was a pure hell, it was getting better with IE7 (finally we got tabs!) and with IE8 it became a decent browser which is good enough for the majority. And with IE9 it's only going to get better.
and well, chrome is really really good tbh, its perfect imo, but i dont want google to see what i am doing, thats my own business :(
so now i am sad panda somehow that i had to delete it :<
chromium:)
but indeed chrome for windows aint fully open source;/
maybe it changed with updates, i dont know.
but i mean, chrome is installed on your pc, google is just a search engine...at least a software which you installed yourself would make it easier for google to get your datas.
before i used firefox for many many years, it annoyed me only a bit here and there over this timespan.
the last few days it just really pissed me off with a lot of crashes and slow speed, so i just went on my journey for finding my new browser. :p

Now I finally use firefox :p
in this order
thats why i dont use it to open webpages in windows wxplorer, and it still is a browser
-fastest (i actually have firefox and opera too, chrome is the fastest)
-changeable theme
although i honestly think opera is more user friendly but chrome is just really faster.
and dunno, i am using opera at the moment, i wouldnt say that chrome is less userfriendly.
chrome just uses less space and well ok, maybe sometimes you have to search for some options if you want to change something but i dont think that this is a big minus.
So, now i'm using Chrome.
Chrome at my netbook <3 pretty and stylish ^^
best order for me is Opera - Chrome - FF - Safari - IE
oh what playboy said about the addons is why i use FF, mainly cuz of the addblocker and yea the greasemonkey is usefull
Why? You haven't decrased view like on Firefox, its faster, feels smooth and stable.
But:
The last Firefox 4.0 beta is awsome - Chrome View like, fast, stable.
So i think after the Firefox 4.0 final, i will use Firefox.
I would suggest people who didn't use Chrome, to try it.
On the other hand, those who swear on Chrome now, to try the last Firefox 4.0 beta.
sux but i'm not much of a 'surfer'
just the regular sites and they work good ^^
call it whatever you like :DDD my english isnt good enough to find any other words. :D
