how many games of bayern have you watched? i guess you're mainly judging from the dutch nations-team. tymoshchuk is superior in almost every single aspect (you can only leave out that vB's team-leading qualities). ofc vB got more experience due to his age but that doesn't make him any better than tymoshchuk. tymosnchuk used to be the best player in the team when he 'was allowed to' play on his prefered position (which is vB's position / 6). vB is just too slow, that's why he has to foul so much, some people even call it 'anti-football', mainly playing safe passes, not providing much danger for the opponents goal. don't get me wrong, he's not a bad player, but he's nowhere as good as tymoshchuk and he shouldnt get a new contract any more due to his age and since we got tymoshchuk
last year they even wouldnt have reached the final without luck. i admit they played very well against manu, but these were only 2 good games in a whole season. the semi-finals were absolute lucky,guess the results if they would have played barca or inter there. other opponents they played before also werent real opponents for a topteam. (2 losses against bordeaux, omg...)
they have a damn good midfield yea, but they also have a huge lack of constancy and still not enough quality for that.
