slac problem officers

hey cf,

cant start ET with slac gettin' this error

but if i start ET without slac it works :s

the only way to solve this is the following;

u gotta do a systemrecovery, to 4/5 days ago. helped for me. make sure that once u did the systemrecovery u gotta go to the avira menu and put the updates off :P

u could also just download a new virusscanner after the systemrecovery ofcourse :P like avg or something

No, it's not. It works now for me with this:

1. Open the configuration via "Extras -> Configuration" of the Avira AntiVir at the point "Product Update". There you deactivate the automatic product update.
2. At the point "General -> Security", temporarily deactivate the protection of the file- and registry entries.
3. Then you rename
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\avipbb.sys" in avipbb.sys.bak".
4. Now restart and reactivate the security of the file- and registry entries.

I got exactly the same problem since I installed AntiVir again. How to solve that?

Uninstall AntiVir / Avira, just disabling it won't help. Use some other, for example Avast.

Don't delete a good antivirus program for random shit like SLAC. :P Just do what I wrote above.
