What does it do? Use to have it on 0, but since I have a new pc I have to turn it on 1 because I get a very very dark screen. And with my other pc it made the screen very light :(
2. Makes ET use it's own gamma values (so your Windows gamma doesn't affect it)
3. Removes the nasty bug of crosshair's brightness changing
2. Your screen brightness is low
sup with screen brightsness, how to change?
In the screen there should be a menu button near the power on-button (or change in vidcard driver)

I guess it's my vidcard or smth
r_ignorehwgamma 1
r_gamma 3
r_intensity 1.5
vid_restart
should fix it.
if not go into drivers and check your color settings for screen, maybe gamma, brightness is way too low there!
don't forget u can make custom profiles for ET so check if u got a profile for ET because if ur normal settings are ok but the ET profile settings are gamma imba low, that's normal:p
a moderate r_gamma 2
r_intensity 1.5
r_mapoverbrightbits 2/3
and some higher digi vibrance + gamma/brightness in drivers :-)
Secondly ofcourse your graphics change :)
r_ignorehwgamma has quite a big influence on how it's made + why don't u use your old config settings then?
edit: what were ur old settings btw to get it to look like that?
r_ignorehwgamma 0
r_mapoverbrightbits 3
r_intensity 1.5
r_gamma 2.3
Results in something like that? :p
screen just stays black as it is
doesn't matter what r_gamma I use
r_overbrightbits 1
r_intensity 1.5
r_gamma 1.5-3
r_mapoverbrightbits 3
or just send me the settings about gamma intensity over mapover and stuff
pls :)
