Mx518 installation problem

hi there i need your help!
I made a Xp repair from the xp CD everything went fine but now i cant install my mx518 back anymore i got the following message : "Fatal error during installation".
My Mx518 works fine on my laptop , i tryed with setpoint and used all the different usb ports but always the same error message !

deinstall the setpoint download it again an install it xD

mx518 installs automaticly so np
and ye deinstall and install again fixed :D

"Cannot install this hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware. An error occurred during the installation of this device. Fatal error during installation."

This occurs regardless of which USB port I try. I also do not get any laser activity on the mouse. It does work on 2 other computers in the house. I tried disabling/enabling, uninstalling the device in the Device Manager, but get the same results no matter what I do.

Why would you wanna install it? Just plug and play.
