i'm planning to start travelling da globe (beginning this easter with paris) and would like your thoughts on where i should go and what i should do! unfortunately as a student i can only afford to do europe so keep it relevant please! i do want to go to thailand and japan in particular but they're out of my price range right now
sights to see, places to eat, clubs to rave at, shops to buy out, places to sleep, whatever you can recommend go ahead! more interested in cultural aspects than sky and sand though
as i mentioned a moment ago, i'm starting with paris, so any recommendations about paris would also be appreciated (on my list thus far is the louvre, eiffel tower, le relais de l'entrecote, arc de triomphe & maybe le chateaubriand)
i'd also like thoughts on travelling alone vs travelling with a friend (probably won't do groups)
on my list of places to visit atm:
rome
geneva
berlin
paris (april)
amsterdam (feb)
will take more suggestions when you give me reasons to go

i did pop in when i went to cc6 for an afternoon with baggiez, but i'd like to go see it properly
his la mezcla remix is probably my favourite tho
plus a plethora of cultural things to do
Sea, sun beach & bitches!
e: In paris you can visit Versaille where le french king Louis XIV lived.
I've never gone there but it's an awesome place.
i wonder how much it'd cost for slovakian twin whores
berlin- n1
paris - n1, but learn french otherwise those fags cant understand you =)))))
French are to proud of their own language. thats why they dont speak english even if they can.
Brussels, Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp
Also if you go down the left side of Sacre Coeur and follow it round you come to a square of artists, they are really good.
Was really gutted about the Mona Lisa, really overrated!
geneva - nice, but expensive city. Actually booked a hotel in France which was really shit and came at 50 euros a night. Some nice places to visit, the fountain is really nice. Also visited a lot of law related buildings, since my brother was studying law when I visited. Food to eat: raclette!
berlin - you have the same interests as me, minimal techno clubbing is sublime here. Lots of interesting sights as well. I'd recommend asking someone from berlin about this though, as the one time I went was around Christmas time and I don't imagine the city to be quite the same on a regular basis. Stayed in a bed and breakfast which was well affordable, food is fatty but good.
paris (april) - You got most of the sights already. One I'd definitely also recommend is the Sacre Couer, cool place to just hang out and chill. We stayed in a hotel, was a bit on the expensive side at about 50-60 a night, but it did come with breakfast, which is quite good in France. I imagine hostels to be a bit cheaper though. Food wise, I found Paris quite hard to get used to. Lunches are great, the bread is great, cheeses are great, the wine is great. If you're not really into any of that stuff, the rest can vary from surprisingly good to absolute shit.
amsterdam (feb) - I'd actually recommend contacting some of the Dutch players you know about staying over for maybe a night or two, as Amsterdam is quite expensive I believe. The city is nice though, a boat tour through the canals might be interesting. The squares are a nice place for chilling, as are the coffee shops, but the more down town you go, the more you get ripped off and the stuff you'll buy will be less good. Amsterdam has a Zoo that's pretty close to the Vondelpark, a nice, big park, both are worth checking out. Foodwise, I guess in February you've got to try some oliebollen, maybe some waffles. I won't elaborate on the Dutch cuisine, not my cup of tea.
have you travelled to many other places?
Bruges aswell, probably the most beatifull city in Belgium
How's chocolate paradise?
barcelona in spain is fantastic as well but there are also some other places which are pretty nice not including madrid obviously such as malaga & cadiz
prague in czech republic
if u get the train-ticket thing for a month then there are some nice places to go to in 'eastern' europe, but if u dont get it and as u said u arent really interested in them maybe its not for you then :)
as for travelling... definetely not in a group as everyone has too many different ideas of what to do so no matter how close you are to the ppl in the group it will never work out.
alone is ok for 'short' trips but definetely taking 1 friend with you is better than going alone as it may get 'dull' sometimes always being alone but with a friend its fine :)
Berlin is also nice, but the most intresting thing to do when you go to germany, is to visit east and west, you'll notice the real contrast between those two (ex separated) sides.
otherwise gl, KFC/mcdo, and kebab => winrar
and anyway go couchsurfing http://www.couchsurfing.org/
Bruges because it's an awesome city
Leuven because it has best nightlife!
and in Paris Sacré-Coeur, Arche de la Defense, Notre-Dame etc! There's also a great pizzeria near some place but can't remember where :-D
Maybe Porto? Nice town to walk around but after a day, you'll have seen everything :)
have fun anyways!
nah tell me when u r here so we can voisit some nice clubs. ill let u put on guestlist and stuff :)
looking forward to meet u again ! <3

Budapest conducts its business with a maximum of seriousness: it has administrative, academic and economic central offices and institutions, universities, factories, two international fairs every year. International congresses and conferences. But Budapest is also a carefree, happy place, with casinos, a circus, a race track, and a lively night life. From Budapest the reform of the system of economic management was launched, and from Budapest it was that the magic Rubik cube started on its world-conquering journey.
Budapest provides maximum relaxation with its parks, esplanades, the promenade on the Danube Embankment - and it offers maximum refreshment with its medicinal baths - including Europe's oldest indoor thermal-water swimming-pool, its lidos and sporting facilities. Budapest is a venue of World Cup competitions, European and world championships, and at the Hungaroring, near Budapest, the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula One race is held. In Budapest, you have the opportunity for horseback riding and, in winter, for skiing. You can angle and practise karate, play tennis and bowling. Time is something that is always in short supply. But, as testified by international analyses, prices in Budapest, as against other large cities, are very reasonable indeed.
As a sign of maximum recognition of all this, UNESCO has added the Danube panorama, with the Castle of Buda, to the World Cultural Heritage List,
Recommend to see: Parliament, St Stephen's Basilica, Fishermen's Bastion, Buda Castle by night, Chain Bridge, Vajdahunyad Castle, Gellert Mountain, Margit Island etc
Go to this website and search persons from places you'll visit. You can stay at their place for free (if it's avi that time). Will save you a lot of money.
