the new 3500dpi sensor seems to be supermegashitty (at least that's what everyone's saying) - and the mac edition can still be bought and has the old sensor (eventhough stocks seem to be near zero)

One suggestion would be to try out some.
The best mouse is actually the one you feel most confortable.
