Agree altho i got the neckband one, wouldnt recommend tho loses the thightness around the head after a while and results in sound loss because its not perfect fit anymore :'(

Creative Fatal1ty headset is fine enough for me ^^

Speedlink Medusa 5.1
Astro A40.. 7.1 surround sound.
7.1 surround useless gaming wise
Parent
Not reli, he can use for gaming, Movies music so on and so forth. also works with PS3 & xbox.. you can sound whore people across map..
Parent
At least ET doeesn't support 7.1
Parent

wtf you talking about nub.
Parent
you also quoted headphones, and that word was never mentioned....
Parent
I googled the product you mentioned, which are headphones.

You have two ears which both interpret sound in mono. Therefore, you only need two drivers (speakers) on your head to achieve "3D" audio. Having that many more drivers next to your head is not going to increase your ability to perceive the location of other players, it is just going to make the sound sound quality far worse and the separation laughable.

"5.1"/"7.1" headsets are simply marketing gimmicks which allow companies to sell shitty cheap drivers to consumers at high prices. instead it is highly recommended to invest in a pair of decent quality stereo headphones

and I am no "nub" when it comes to audio, but then again if you don't believe me just check head-fi and learn why.
Parent
i have them.. there great.. nuff said.
Parent
well.. no.. it isn't... because you don't seem to have had much experience with quality audio products so your opinion is not "enough said"
Parent
Shutup and move on? your boring.
Parent
You gave someone terrible advice, I merely tried to help him.

Steelseries 5hv2
Sennheiser PC350
Quotepc350 doesn't garner many solidified reviews. Many if not most here describe it as "plain junk", "tinny", "most overpriced 'set Senn has ever produced" and the slander goes on

Awful, AWFUL headphones.

:D i just random commented

If you want quality then don't get a gaming headset :D

Infact pretty much just don't buy anything advertised for gaming full stop.
then what should he buy ? :)
Parent
depends on budget but it's far better to look at brands like akg, audio technica, grado, sony, sennheiser (studio range) than it is to look at brands like speedlolink and steelolseries

not only will you get better audio quality but the product will probably last longer/have a better build quality. the only downside is you won't have a mic, but you can get either clip-on or desk mics suitable for vent for =<€10 probably
Parent
Sony always has the best quality.
Parent
Well... no... that's just an outright lie. They're an option sure but at any pricepoint they are far from being the "best"...
Parent
But their products are awesome.
and you can use their products for like years.
they wont die that quick.
Parent
some amazing argumentation there.

you completely sold me :)
Parent
the HD650 and PXC 450 also HD595 are great headphones. a little pricey but well worth it
Parent
My best friend has 595s so I'm quite familiar with them. Not really experienced with closed headphones but I assume they'd be great for LAN which is where mine really aren't great.

Hopefully gonna have one of these too soon! http://www.roland.com/products/en/UA-25/index.html
