Multiple Sound cards feat. ET

Yo,

I got two sound cards on my computer (integrated one and one external). I was wondering, if there is a way to tell ET which one to use ?

thanks

why would u want that? thats just power consuming
it uses the primary one
you can choose which card to use for other app(for example i use integrated one to play music via foobar at 2.1 audiosystem while playing with headphones)
Why not play music through a 5.1 audiosystem while playing ET with the 2.1 one?

lol you trolling?

No, but I might have misunderstood his post.

Anyhow, could you tell me how did you come to this conclusion of me trolling?

music is recorded as stereo (2 channels), so that a 2.1 audio system is enough and.. best for the purpose of listening to music. whereas a 5.1 audio system could be beneficial in movies and games (not necessarily in the second).

and he hasn't said a thing about having a 5.1 audio system, he only mentioned 2.1 audio system and a pair of headphones.

i dont get what you're asking
Parent
how do u do that?
Parent
?
choose the card with headphones as primary, choose the other one used with speakers in the music player options
that's it

ET is always using the one set as primary in the windows sound options. But you can easily trick ET:
set the soundcard you want to hear ET over
start ET
minimize ET
set your primary soundcard to whatever you want
start any other program that is using windows settings
go back to et and it "plays" on the first one
I have to change quite often so I use Quick Sound Switcher which gets the job done. Kind of annoying to go into the control panel everytime you want to change between speakers and headphones.

Some apps let you select, eg: foobar, ET however does not.
