Tried every plug in the back of my PC, even the one supposedly unconnected. And I just used the screen the past two weeks on a different, older PC with the same cables etc.
there are 2 powercables going to the motherboard. 1st there is the big one like 20 pin and also there is a 8pin that has to be connected or else the pc wont boot. forgot that one when i built my new pc.

Well, the PC itself boots but it doesn't show anything on screen. And apparently the monitor gets some signal because it flashes up for a second and goes to stand by mode.
Just open it and check it. Only takes a minute or 2. :) Mine did just like that and i thought it was broken and then i RTFM and found out i had forgotten to connect it. Its a black 8-pin that goes directly on the motherboard.
To me it looks like its connected tho u only have a 4pin on that MB. As it is a ASUS MB u can check if there are any diod that is lit when u start the PC. It tells u what is the problem. Lokk in the manual wich diod is for what. What is the name of the MB?

if everything is fine just check the monitor @ other pc
maybe it's due to overheating? Check that fans are rolling and stuff
are all power line connected?

the main i guess upper right.
Else try to plug the pc to another monitor and test and the contrary.
If it doesn't work and obviously if u can test ur powersupply : 12v 12.2 max and 5v 5.2 max
Make sure its connected to the right outlet etc.
