Config for CRT

I never believed I would be making a config-journal... Forgive me, Jesus.

I'm in dire need of a config for my 17 inch CRT screen. FPS isn't an issue since I can get my stable 100 FPS on every map on almost any settings. What I need is visibility. As you CRT owners know, they can be really unlit and dim, so here are my "qualifications"
–Bright and visible, it's a small screen and I need to see enemies far away too
–Resolution either 800x600 or 1024x768, since my CRT doesn't support over 60 Hz on those resolutions. 100 Hz on r_mode 4 and 85 Hz on r_mode 6, which are big enough for me.
–Direct links and screenshots preferred! I don't want to visit any profiles :x
–Only graphic settings, if you can. I have my other settings sorted out.

Need some suggestions how i can change my graphics to be able to SEE better through fences like the depot fence at supply or the bank entrance at goldrush etc.. i simply cant see the enemies through those :(/
I was able to when I used a "glowing enemies"-config, but this CRT isn't bright enough for that and the screen that is supports only 75 Hz :c

Low mapoverbrights, 0 or 1 should do the trick
High gamma (3 preferred)
r_ignorehwgamma 1

That's all. Enemies should be glowing when they are far away, making it easy to spot them because the map is darker than usual

if the map is too dark for you - just adjust overall gamma via drivers, gives you a more or less bright map with ultra bright models. thats how you do it :P

is there a way to change the brightness only for ingame? so it doesnt have effect on desktop?

well at least with an older driver for nvidia you were able to create profiles for applications, when to load which settings,but on up-to-date drivers there arn't any ways to create profiles for color settings afaik

Ah, one more thing I forgot. I set my TFT screen to some sort of "game mode" when it gets brighter when the rest of the screen is dark or something, that allowed me to see good even on close range.

use r_mode 4 and r_displayrefresh 100

or get a free crt from a finnish ebay(check hz+resolutions online)

I tried but can't find good ones in my city, and the ones that are further away are very costy.

e: I mean the post delivery is costy, the screens are 1 euro each.

hmm, when I tried your graphics, I couldn't see the allies that good in some occasions + when shooting I sometimes simply lost track :D ( supply for example ).

r_mode 4 <--- A MUST on CRT ive been using it for a month or two now and it's just significant improvement (i tend to shoot more hs / higher acc with it LoL) displayrefresh 100 ofc, tune up your brightness via your graphic card driver, else it's just impossible to play some maps (braun etc) --> use CONTRAST to upgrade your view rather than brightness, i tested it and contrast simply gives a slight more detailed improvement to the screen while being brighter. so if anything, i went into " - " on my brightness and left gamma on default and went about 15/20% up in contrast, it looks much better than upgrading 10% brightness and a tad of gamma.

and well my cfg is on my profile, up to you to check it out or not!

I could give mine, I used it when I had my 17" Crt.. Now using 21" :d It's nice, decent quality, and it's quite bright, can spots enemys easy. If you want to try out let me know!
