upgrading my computer

3years ago, i bought my current computer. now i'm thinking over a little upgrade. in case of this i need a new cpu, cpu-cooler, memory and mainboard. i just found something with good comments and it's not realy expensive(my opinion), that's why i wanted to use an AMD-CPU again. i watched a bit around in some online shops and this are atm my favorites:

Memory: 2x2048MB Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 CL9
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.20GHz AM3 6MB
CPU-Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 Universal CPU Kühler
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 870 AM3 ATX

all together i would pay around of 315€ +/- some euros. my gfx, soundcard and power supply are still good enough. so what do u think? :D

why u use a 6core cpu when u normaly use 1, so u have 5cores which are in idle mode xD

i have one anywhere here around me amd xp 2500+(running with 2,2ghz) was awesome with ati radeon 9700 pro, epic computer :D

but ye i would like to play games like prototype <3 or deus ex human revolution (coming soon this year) or the assassins creed parts! and all kind of that stuff!

im thinking about buying new computer for 1,5 years now, but im not allowed to -.-

well for me it lags like shit on radar grush, the big maps, got like 40 fps :D

u serious? I got 100 fps stable on every map (playing with 71/76 though), with r_mode -1 1920x1080.
Runs very smooth. I just did a clean install though 2 months ago and only using my PC for ET and SSH with my server. Got my laptop for chatting/browsing.

even if i shut down ff, xfire, irc, icq, wmp, msn whatever u want, just running et and teamspeak, i have 76 stable, on ettv i can even get like 90fps on grush, but playing myself, i cant get more then 60-65fps!

bro with 6 monitors and 6 core procesor you can watch 6 ettvs at one time!

or you can prac and play with 6 teams :D

not really, with dolby-axon where you can speak with x teams/ppl in one time you just switching betwen groups with binds - so u can prac with 6 teams!

ram looks ok, if u can try and get corsair/ocz with a lower cas latency
if i was u, id go for the 965 cpu or even the 1055T like me :)
I cant see the cpu cooler cos of my phone, if ur planning to OC dont skimp out on cooling/fans x

take sandy bridge i3/i5 + H67/P67 motherboard in a 2 weeks.

And if you are staying with this setup, take memory with lower timings.

videocard ATI Radeon EAH6850.

so fucking strong machine;) I have it from yesterday ;)))
