voiceactivation or hotkey

So first of all, I am currently using mouse4 as hotkey but it's kinda anoying having to press it ingame. Would it be worth changing it to voice activation and what would be the best settings for that? Are there any settings in the sound options of windows to get less echo and stuff?

when that happends i press ctrl aswell and tell her that many ppl hears her so she shuts up

when she is gone mad she says "I DONT CARE" but yet she goes crazy looking up for the shut off button on my computer. my pc case has a lil door which hides my power button so she doesnt find it.

always been using voice activation, never really tried it with a hotkey as I find it really annoying ingame and also when not playing.. don't see the problem with voice activation, just a lot easier..

Just tell ur parents/whoever to knock at the door before entering your room and make a hotkey to mute ur mic,izi.
