Because Atheists argue against religion, when it's just a senseless argument with nothing to prove. Theists will just have the response that it's a faith so it can't be proven/disproven, and Atheists will persist that they prove it or it isn't real. Such a circular argument.

In my opinion, it's better to be Agnostic, not to waste your life worrying who to believe.

As of now there is no ultimate proof that there is no god, just like there is no ultimate proof there is a god. But what you can say is that proof of secular theories increases by the day while religion stagnates for centuries now regarding proving anything.

Also there is this quote by Richard Dawkins which makes sense to me which goes along the lines of "Christians are atheist to more than 99% of gods, I just go one step further"

It's my personal conviction. I'm not telling what they should believe or what they shouldn't. But I myself am deeply convinced that there is an absence of god that possibly wouldn't make the world a better but more honest place.

I do like to discuss about religion, but the truth whether there is a God or not does not have any effect on my daily life. If I found out today there was no God or there was a God it would not change anything in the decisions I make.

If there was judeo-christian god and he would declare what and how he actually wants people to pray, I would love to see two third of the entire world population go "SHIT MAN I PRAYED FOR YOU ALL MY LIFE AND NOW YOU TELL US WE'VE BEEN PRAYING WRONG ALL ALONG?"

But to respond to your statement: If god made an appearance as undeniable proof he exists, I would of course bow down and acknowledge I've been wrong, it's the 'scientific' thing to do. I'm all for proof, but right now all odds are against there being a deity.
