Are you sure you can't use wine?
I can... but want to see if there is alternatives.
Parent
as said before, use pidgin with gfire
Parent
ty, I'll check it out. Does it detect games and such?
Parent
it doesn't launch et as far as i know, but it can show if you are playing. but XQF can do that for you (and you can also get et_sdlsound in there)

I used ubuntu, but its annoying because not all programs work on it. So i was lazy and just installed win7 pro
http://gfireproject.org/ works pretty well for XFire. Even detects what you're playing, although it doesn't support server detection for ET.
danje if you can get ET working on ubuntu 10.10 64 bit then ure better than me :p
It's working ;).

WITH 125 FPS :), on Windows I get like 70.
Parent
tell me how :p i get no sound whatsoever

Ha, same problem.... I managed to get some crackling sound.... I think I know the problem. You Googled it? Definately something to do with the sound API server,,, apparently, you can only use applications that use the API and is recognised by the driver / server.

I think there is alternative drivers that can be used....
