Idea. Good or bad?

Good Friday night to you crossfire members and ET lovers.

I read all this posts about the ESL, the activity and I found nice conversation between ROSS and Lav0d.

They were talking about ladder games activity of ESL and why not CB. Why people do not play ladder games? I know practice games are much easyer and so on, but CB has made it very easy to make a ladder wars. Just saying that "Comoon teams start playing ladder games ain't gonna work or maybe it will".

Had an idea, that let's say. Do not know how many clans there are who are active. Let's say above 20 or 30 clans are active. When somebody makes an one-day-cup. Make it somehow through Clanbase ladders. Even now, that we gonna soon have 6on6 cup. Make it somehow through Clanbase. Teams will register on Clanbase if they haven't already and start challenge each others. I know this process might be pain in the ass for someone who hardly uses the Clanbase website, but belive me, it is easy and when you done it, you will know everything and will enjoy using the website.

I have not think this how it would "really work" I just had this idea and need to be thinking it through, but I think there are people who have more experience in this stuff then me. If this will work somehow maybe even Clanbase staff can help somehow.

Edit: Another thing that made my arse mad.

Money destroys Internet and games. Some of you talk about "ESL is only going for the money", but look at your selfs! You don't join the Tournament because the prices are ridiculus or non at all.

I remember times when Global Pocal on website was nice thing and the fame that you get. To be number one in Tournament, in ladders and in other cups. Now good teams look only at the money. Shame on you!

Sorry for my bad English

because it takes less time to find an IRC war (in theory, if everyone searched a CB offi it would be fast as well) and another problem is many teams are too scared to risk losing points and won't play vs teams that are better than them.

one way to make the ladders active is to link the ladders with cups & force a match every sunday
I remember that feeling. Playing a ladder game and loosing points, but hey. That is the best way to learn. I think the more people will play ladder/official games the more they learn. They play for something. For the points, for the position...

clanbase site is just the biggest shite ever
i could never login to this shit due to whatever ridiculous reasons
How long have you use it? I had some troubles to login when I started playing games... but after reading some help and asking friends I got my "real password" and wasted 30min to investigate how Clanbase works. It is great website. It has a lot inside.

i think my first account is from 2004,but i logged only in for a few times because i always had trouble with it. when i needed to join a clanbase clan i created another account but also did only use it to join the team and thats it.
if i remember right clanbase didnt let you create the password you wanted but only some retarted passwords with numbers, letters and special signs.so i forget the password right aways."forgott my password" also didnt really work back then, but that all might have changed by now

ESL forces you to change password every 3 months? :0

And their site is crap compared to CB

Solution to ladder problem = top16 play EC/EMS, rest not.
u can get lots of points by playing against some lowbobs :D

but if there was a possibility to split ladder to leagues then it would be nice... and for example u need to win 3 matches in a row against teams from higher league to get moved up one league

like

Premier League
