cant change usb hzs

Operating System : Windows XP


ERROR: Could not find a valid sequence!
Please use Windows' original "usbport.sys"!

I had format yesterday and installed winxp sp3, i dont use setpoint for my mx518. Just want to change usb polling rate to 500hz.
need some helpppppppppppppp

edit: tried it with usb mouse rate switcher

I guess u r using incorrect version of usb rate switcher, at least I had same error when I tried to apply switcher for SP2.

everything above is incorrect , you need to replace your usb.sys with some other usb.sys that you have to download , simple google search helped me when i had that error like 4 months ago after my last format.

bullshit, I had same error, I solved it by using usb switcher for SP3, so my solution is correct, but it does not mean it will help him...

they removed usb.sys in SP3 iirc !

apply it in safe mode since it's protected by Windows File Protection
or use hidusbf
