I found this mouse alone in a dark corner , i already cleaned it and ready to use since it has the MX engine :D i need help tunning what should i use to feel same?

Current G5 V2

900 Dpi
Win sens 6
500hz
Pointer Accel None

New Mx510
800Dpi
Win sens ?
hz ?
Pointer Accel None Low Medium High ???

nothing, you just cant controll it properly in windows, so if you want to have accel enabled -> make it in et :P

Atleast I have button + and -. If you press + you will get dpi 800

u can't change the hz from the mx510 it's possible after mx518 but not for the mx510

MX510 can only go up to 250hz usbrate cuz it has a 12bit datapath. 500hz or more is simply not possible. 125hz and 250hz only.

The sensor is a 400dpi sensor which the setpoint drivers "sort of" crank up to 800dpi.

It is actually quite a bad mouse. If you like the MX feel etc, just get yourself an mx518. They're cheap as fuck anyway.

i did a usb rate checker and it shows up to 500hz

With an mx510 it's impossible. I've seen one report 450hz (unstable), but 500 is simply not possible with an mx510, that is if it's actually an mx510 with a 12bit datapath and afaik that's the only mx510 that's ever been produced.

There were some articles I read about why using 450hz on the mx510 would result in unstable behaviour and why using it would actually be a negative thing. The article advised to stick with 250hz or go with a mouse that uses a 8bit or 16bit datapath (mx518)
