ET cpu problem

Good afternoon crossies!
I am facing a problem where 1 processor gives me a bit laggy fps but when I set it to 2 it works perfectly fine. but after some time or if the map changes it switches back to 1 processor by itself. is there anything I can do to keep it running on 2?
Will appreciate your help!

no the game is to old, only works on one!
imagecfg.exe let's you assign cores to programs, there's other progs aswell. Saw H8M3 linking some ftp with progs for it I think.
as I read it sets only usage to one of the cores but not both of them?

lols WTF.. I edited to tell you that :<
Parent
well I want on both CPUs :<

I'll code something for you. 2mins... had fun playing with u on RTCW btw
oh we played RTCW together? I suppose you were that guy who had problems with staying on server. :P
Parent
Ha yeah, my internet messed up, had technicians out today... they did fuck all :p.
Parent
well pm me here or at IRC if you want a game :P

when are you guys going to learn that ET is a single core game? it will never work with more than one core unless it is heavly re-coded to split the work per core...
the point is to force it to single core(which you can choose) instead of OS switching it between cores while playing and to manage other CPU dependent processes instead of OS putting them on the same core occasionally or on 2nd fake cpu core with hyperthreading faggotry on
was especially needed when PB processes ate CPU resourses like mad so I was gonna write some handy manager myself, but found some working utility written by some mad battlefield player who wrote it for eliminating the same problem with battlefield xD

that makes more sense, thanks for pointing it out!

pmme in the evening when im at home, my ftp died and i can only find it on my home PC
Here you go...
http://mystica.org.uk/Applications/ET-Affinity.exe

Created it just now.

IT HAS TO BE INSIDE YOUR ET FOLDER... WHERE ET.EXE IS.

DEFAULT C:/PROGRAM FILES/ENEMY TERRITORY
nearly as usable as ticking the affinity yourself after every map change
Parent
Ha, you always got h8 for everyone. Seriously, cheer up. You're gonna die soon acting like that.
Parent
make some effort next time xo
Parent
And btw, by my calculations and testing, after a map change the core stays to X amount of cores you choose.
Parent
well it seems as it works, but I cannot use it with slac, right? cause this program starts the ET immediately, but SLAC is implemented into ET when you start the game. :<
Parent
Yeah flexican asked the same question. Not right now it doesn't load SLAC. I'll do it when I have some free time.
Parent
oh nice, that would be awesome :) well thanks for your help!
Parent
pbprior.u can set et to 2 cores with that
exactly, that's how it's called
but the point of using it is different
Parent
does it make that much difference?
setting ET to one core?
Parent
depends how it acts normally and what else you run at the same time with playing
