SLAC journal 20300303

somehow a few minutes ago, my antivirus mysteriously decided it wants to recognise and remove slac again. It has been fine for months, running AV and not detecting slac, now someone it does, resulting in my ET to shut down itself. Anyone else experiencing this?

disable AV while playing
Parent
true as that may be, it would still require me to reinstall slac everytime i want to play since it detects and remove when i turn it back on. Exception list is no option cause somehow it doesnt wanna accept it's an exception
Parent
rofl, download another virusscan then i guess..
Parent
pointless since i'm (well parents) are actually paying for one :x
Parent
then u should e mail them fucks and ask the to remove slac from their anti vir shizzle base
Parent
*mails av*
oh yeah, some guy with no technical background emailed us to say we have to remove this trojan of our detection list, on which programmers and other have worked very hard for ages. Can you squeeze that in before lunchtime Mark? NP boss

yes, that's a pitty. was it an update or? and if its that worse. you have to disable it -> download slac -> enable it -> slac gone -> start over again:P

now scroll through some of the journals and your question will be answered :)
maybe add slac to execption list (not only the exe files other files on appdata folder 2)
Doesn't work, mine did the exact same thing last week.
Its in exceptions and at some completely random time (read - not updating or loading) the AV just deletes it, which it didnt do the 4 months before that day :S
Parent
then u haven'T set it correctly ....
Parent
It's set perfectly, cause it noticed it as a virus before, added to exceptions, then 4-5 months later it suddenly automatically removes it without any reason.
Parent
dont have antivirus, dont care
in most anti viruses you can add ignore folder and files
keyword: most
Parent
well get one that does :P
