I guess that's probably user related though, I don't get any spam on my private addresses, only on the ones I am careless with (signing up to stupid websites).
The spam filter is pretty good though, the spammety spam one is still useable, even though it does have ~500 mails in spam.
tbh I like my hotmail just the way it is now :]
