Scenes @ Egypt

Quite unbelieveble scenes at egypt. People dying and still mubarak is stading at his position and doing nothing. Pretty awful to watch live streams from Kairo

http://english.aljazeera.net/watch_now/

One opposite guy fell down and 50 came to mug, him, most likely dead already.

Some guy got overdrived http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs033.snc6/166349_1803025603382_1472117034_1916782_2606412_n.jpg

Ok, I know it's completely unfunny as that guy is actually dead but I seriously spilled water when I took a sip and watched the photo.

Heart shocking...watching the stream for over an hour now and can't believe how you can turn a peaceful demonstation into such a massacre. I just hope it wont escalate any further.

E: I hope Mubarak gets punished for this act of violence. Common sense tells anyone that these "Pro Mubarak demonstators" aren't normal civilian ppl. Encircling a whole place just to rush in violently is NOTHING any demonstrator would do. They are blocking all the streets and the injured can't get out. That's supposed to be a massacre and the army is just watching.
same and the most evil thing is that we can watch this safely at our own house
Parent
Yeah...but w/o this broadcast there might be a chance for Mubarak to claim this was caused by the anti-government demonstators. By watching these scenes there's NO way that it wasn't staged by Mubarak.
Parent
Well that is true but sadly there isn't any other way. Tbh not sure whether this is mubarak's fault or whos, if I remeber right he has been real peacemaker in Israel and that is why I am quite neutral.

It might get even bloodish if army gets involved they would have to choose sides and after that peace some tenses -> other side got killed.
Parent
Peacemaker? You mean like successful in having a peaceful compromise for the Palestine conflict? I don't see any peace there, because both sides are stubborn to the outmost - and I'd like to think that's exactly what the Israelian government wanted, because they never stopped building new villages.

If he had nothing to do with this conflict, he should have done anything to stop his supporters. Also, the military should have done ANYTHING except watching ppl smashing each others heads in except for watching the scene!
Parent
well yeah mainly that. Not going to draw for question about Israel and palestines' yard. Too big problems never to be solved.

What would army do? They don't have any education against riots and they don't have even tear gas which would "freeze" some angry people. I am not really into Egyptian politics so I can't say surely what has happened there, maybe Tunisia's crise launched this? Not sure

I think Mubarak and Elbaradou should do something for their own supporters, if they let them run free it will only end up as massacre or maybe even genocide? Even if they tried to calm down people after this has end I think it will end up winning party to kill opposites. No matter what but it has always happened.

E: Ibrahim Zadran (support Elbaradou) just said that at least 15 anti mubarak has been killed today, no idea about Pro mubaraks death rate
Parent
They had plenty of tear gas against the anti-Mubarak protestans for the first days...Sorry to say, but ofc this is connected to the Tunisian Jasmine Revolution. Have you been in a cave the last weeks?
Parent
Police forces have it, not the army! If it is same thing as finnish army then yes! Not sure how big part it is playing in this. Maybe something like this happening also in Libya and some other north africa countries
Parent
all the newscasters using 99% of the time asking useless questions :/

hope this is the start of a worldwide revolution, 3 governments have fallen so far. Hope more will go.
communism or capitalism?
Parent
i cannot believe u just asked that question. u dumb?
Parent
Just for curiousity not for any real purpose. Also wanted to know whether I punch you if we see at barricades
Parent
Why would u ever want a communist government are u stupid??.
Parent
No I am not and Britain's second biggest party is labour party and labour is synonym for worker. And communist's supporters are mainly basic workers. See?

No I am not stupid
Parent
wow. u think the UK labour party is communist? the labour party fucked this country up, but still its not even remotely communist.

learn about politics before you make statements like that. and dont say to me learn about business and politics ive got a GCSE/Alevel/degree in it.

u need to seriously reconsider your education and what youve been taught if you think UK have communist governments.
Parent
Did I say so ? No I didn't, I just made some obvious relations between those. Easy to make difficult things easy and opposite isn't it

I knew fairly well finnish politics but somehow I am not really interested in your country's politics. In the end we end up giving money to your governement too like we have done for Italy,Greece and Ireland

No I am not going to make any reconsiderations, maybe you should calm down with your opinions? I have worked with agressive teenagers and you seem like one
Parent
i love debating with people who have strong opinions on things however know nothing outside of www.google.com on their information about things.

everyone on this site just uses google to debate,u googled capitalism then tried to compare it to the UK. ur completely retarded lol.

i have a degree in business soon. im far cleverer than you in this. my birthday is pretty close to urs im the same age :). However far cleverer
Parent
I have same imagenation on you. Strong opinions but do we really have something below them? Obama is going to more left sided than ever in America cause he is forcing that hospital thing(not really know its name in english) and therefore it is same thing for everyone poor and rich . It is much like in communism

No I am not using google and I even scholarship from my highschool and going to study university next year. if you have lower educatino in 6years then I am clever than you? Maybe not maybe yes...

Somehow I don't like people who have strong opinion but they can't debate at least you are saying what you think but you are far too absolute in your opinions so we can't really have good conversation. As you can see I softened my opinion and what did you do? You went agressive and if you go agreesive it is sign that you aren't really sure what you are talking about? have never studied pshycology?

E: And funny thing is also that Finnish education system is more highly appriciated than Britains
Parent
2 words , Cambridge, Oxford. Adding a few more. London school of economics. Adding a few more. Durham.

Can't you read? I said it is much like I didn't say it IS. And that is only one part, you are obviously losing your mind now cause you go agressive :)

Obviously you should start from reading exercises

For someone who claims to have a degree in politics, making such rash statements as "The Labour Party fucked this country up" is a tad obtuse.
Parent
you dont think the labour party helped fuck up this country to what it is now?

then u seriously need to learn about business and politics. Gordon brown laxed the tax laws on mortgages in this country. Allowing people to borrow more than ever before and pay it back over longer periods of time. billions more was bein borrowed in the UK economy which ofcourse people could not pay back anytime soon.

Gordon Brown borrowed more money than any other prime minister in history. Cameron now has to try and fix what Gordon brown the Labour party did. The reason we are in this fucked up crisis is because Brown borrowed so much dam money and laxed the tax laws in this country.

I can debate this all day if you want , i dont need to use google to debate with you. so i assume i have to wait for your googled response on this matter.

I should stress that this is obviously not the only reason, numerous others such as Mortage companies in america selling off their bad debts and not telling the people they are selling them to about the bad debts.
George Bush also laxed the tax laws in America so people borrow far more than they can pay back. He borrowed huge amounts of money also which the future governments need to fix.

Its brilliant debating with people who claim they are clever but arent. I may not be cleverer than you in many aspects. However this is the aspect i am clever at.

we can do this all day :)
Parent
You can do what all day? Act overly defensive and hurl facts at me? You don't know anything about my knowledge of politics yet you assume I know nothing and would google a 'response'?

Everyone has different opinions in politics and there lies the reason I studied it. I don't need you or anyone else blindly barking your obtuse and thoroughly one-eyed politic hearsay at me.
Parent
youve already lost the argument. Your just insulting me, your reply has nothing to do with the issue being disussed lol.

Welcome to the real world m8. You think your so clever but you realy arent. W/e you study or will study at university im sure you will become clever at.
Dont flame the people who specialise in certain areas. YOU WILL LOOSE.

busines and politics is what i do and its what i always will do. Soon il have a masters in it then maybe a post masters qualification. Il know more than u can ever dream of in a few years.

your the biggest idiot on this website. you act so hard and intelligent, just because u type correct grammer and correct others grammer and pretend to be intelligent. doesnt make u intelligent.
Parent
What are you talking about? I'm not discussing, debating or arguing any political issue with you. I'm not even insulting you. Did you even read what I wrote?

("Welcome to the real world mate" I lol'd at that)
Parent
you dont insult me and dont expect me to insult you back. Every insult u give to me will be given back at you until you either stop replying or reply something so retarded that i dont reply back.

This is generaly how it works however you are a moderator of this site and i dont fancy getting banned or getting warning points so i think i better stop :). How u got the position of admin il never know but thats neither here nor there.

My point is that you may not like the fact your not the cleverest person this site. But the reality is that i am one of them in the area of business and politics :).
Parent
Again, what are you talking about?

Where did I insult you? Moreover, why are you insulting me? Do you act this way everytime someone disagrees with your political views?
Parent
not at all. i would have been happy to debate an issue with you. You instantly jump to an insult on your first reply. My problem is that you dont reply to the issue with your own views. you insult others views immediately with no formal reply yourself.

kinda like a kid who thinks hes right at school but knows absolutely nothing about what hes arguing about. He just argues it because he cannot be seen to be being wrong.
Parent
Again, answer the fucking question. Where did I insult you?
Parent
QuoteFor someone who claims to have a degree in politics, making such rash statements as "The Labour Party fucked this country up" is a tad obtuse. [q/]

calling 'the labour party fucked this country up' as a rash statement. I took than as an insult because its so obvious the labour party did fuck us up. Your just insulting my intelligence by saying that.

either that or your more retarded that i originaly thought.
Parent
Wait hold up, you take someone disagreeing with an opinion of yours, an insult?
Parent
in my defense im trying to wind up baggiez and its working :)
Parent
From the looks of things all you're doing is getting yourself more wound up
Parent
Seriously dude, you should really pack up your stuff and leave this journal because you are more and more making an idiot out of yourself.
Parent
i dont know anything about business lol im just making shit up. can u help me understand whats going on? i just feel bad that baggiez knows so much about it and i dont. thats why im flaming because hes to intelligent for me and i cant take it.
Parent
Where did I say I know "so much" about politics? You really should stop putting words in my mouth and re-read the above transcript.

I think to anyone that knows neither of us you really are making yourself look like a total prick here.

Assumping you are just doing this to wind me up (which I sincerely doubt given how much passion is in your 'defense' [I'm not even sure why you're defending considering I'm not attacking but we'll leave that for now]) I'd say it's failed pretty badly.

Tangent: which university are you about to graduate from and what are you expected to attain?
Parent
Doubt it's just to wind you up, considering the comments before you decided join in.
Parent
There is no discussion here WHATSOEVER! Don't you get it?
You're just insulting him in each and every comment you make for no reason
Parent
Quoteyour the biggest idiot on this website. you act so hard and intelligent

Pretty sure you're the biggest idiot here since you're the only one who's attacking others and claiming to be oh so smart with all the degrees you have or will have.
Parent
in my defense im releasing my anger about all the work i have to do this month on this website. Final stage of a degree is so much work :(.
Parent
Pretty sure you're the biggest idiot here since you're the only one who's attacking others
Quoteeither that or your more retarded that i originaly thought.

and claiming to be oh so smart with all the degrees you have or will have.
Quote Your just insulting my intelligence by saying that.

Sorry but thats not just releasing stress/anger, that's just being an asshole.
Parent
read my reply to you. i just need help understand it all because Baggiez knows it all and i dont. can you help?

im just flaming because of that.
Parent
Do you really think you'll amount to anything other than entry level number cruncher at some non-descript firm working on an industrial estate off a motorway some place? Maybe after years of grinding you'll work your way up to middle management. A degree whilst useful isn't the silver bullet - you've still gotta have loadsa other qualities - i.e. an ability to communicate with people :)

You might be working towards a degree (I assume you're expecting a First?) but given your level of maturity, ability to comprehend what people write & put points forward concisely it'll not take you far in the 'real world'. My advice - take a gap year, it'll do you good seems you've plenty growing up left to do.
Parent
ive just got in from a night out im fucking hanging. However still have the ability to reply. Honestly im nothing like i am online so chill out.
il genuinly be the nicest guy ul ever meet :DDDDDDD. online is just spam and fucking abuse for fun.

if u realy think what i say online is representative of me offline then thats epic :).

but i genuinly believe that my personality is better than my academics. Complete opposite impression i give online. regardless of what u think, im going places in the future, maybe not the near future ofcourse as i have to enter the business world to go places.
Parent
Be interesting to see who is in power there in 6 months. hopefully not another Iran.
Parent
obviously a more liberal president lol. if another dictator gets in power again then the riots start all over again.
Parent
politics is so fucking boring, what a life u must have :D
Parent
He's the one who will be deciding about your life in the future my friend.
Parent
Nyke for president? XD
Parent
God I hope not :o
Parent
im more of a businessman than a politician. My degree is called Business Studies not Politics. Just you get choices of what you want to study aswell as business. Majority of what i study is business but some of what i study is politics.

I dont want to be a politician, Its not my real life personality to just lie to millions of people on a daily basis, which is what poltics is all about :DDD.
Parent
m8 u think business and politics is boring, try studying law. fuck me sideways thats boring. I literaly think its worse than detention at school. I would genuinly rather have detention for 1 hour at school than a 1 hour law lecture here.

i quit it after the first year and focused everything on business/politics :).

Knowing about business = $$$$ its mostly why i study it, also i do enjoy it. At school you do fuck all and hate education and just wait for break and lunch time then going home haha. As you get older some things start to actualy interest you.
Parent
well personally i wouldnt take law or business as a "subject" to study, although i did have an A really easy in GCSE :p [/not proud]

i enjoy engineering and IT with a bit of maths in there too, im a practical kinda guy ;)
Parent
Nobody tells you to study politics, I can't think about studying politics either, but a certain amount of interest in politic, which basically means showing interest for your own life, is necessary, at least in your own country.
Parent
yeah obviously a show a little/basic interest as i like to know the situation of our country :) daybreak ftw
Parent
my story is simple. My family are all successfull business people. Thus i been interested in business since i could walk :). Trust me if you dont like business/law etc dont even think about studying it at uni. You have to study what you enjoy at uni or i assume it will be insanely hard for you. I enjoy what i study and its so much work, i cant even imagine what it would be like if i didnt like it lol. Id have craked emotianally by now tbh.

At A level you study business which you do what 3 modules? In a degree you study only business and 6 modules + an elective that you choose, law/english/maths etc thers loads to pick. so 18 modules of business in 3 years :DD with every module haveing 10x more work than A level.
Parent
Why obviously? It really wouldn't surprise me if it goes to shit. I'm all for a democratic Egypt. But some of the partys that could get in power..
Parent
world politics is like a puppet show where the strings arent visible. You see the puppet moving but there are far bigger forces at work pulling the strings that u dont see.

the US financialy backs Egypt. Without the US Egypt crumbles regardless of whose in power and when. Now Egypt truly wants democracy they will get it. Now the US will be 'nudging' the egyptian government to obey the people aswell so to speak.

the declaration of independance states that it is the right of the people to abolish a government that they dont want'. Not the exact words but something similar. US are fully behind the egyptian people.
Parent
Right.. No offence, but isn't completely irrelevant to what I said?
Parent
WELCOME TO MY ENTIRE JOURNAL
Parent
Not realy. im explaining why a dictator wont come into power in Egypt. Its perfectly relevent. US backs Egypt financialy = US is on the side of the egyptian people = 2 forces acting on the government to make it more liberal.

:)
Parent
Heh the US backed free elections in Palestine until Hamas got elected and then refused to accept the outcome. It also supports many other dictators across the world. There's principles and there's principles.

This isn't simple. And there's plenty more to the Egyptian economy than US aid i.e. tourism, Suez canal, industry. And how can any of us possibly predict how a new democracy will turn out? The news is plastered with examples of Iran in the 70s. Then there's the role of the civili service, the police, the army, the people, the opposition supporters, the pro-Mubarek supporters, it's a tempetuous mix. Throw in western interests and then perhaps China.

It's not simple. Comprende? We can't possiblly comprehend what's going to happen.

My only concern based on what I've seen and heard and read is that Mubarek holds on until his term ends in September and the protests gradually slow down, giving him time to quell dissent, seek retribution and then pass on to his heir apparent enabling the status quo to continue.
Parent
which 2 except Tunesia?
Parent
The Jordan king has dissolved the government. But that's not much of a revolution as in Tunisia and Egypt.
Parent
Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Jordan. Jordans has fallen and a new 1 is now in place. Yemen president wont stand for re election. Egypt president wont stand for re election.
Parent
so Jordans president resigned without any demonstations?
Parent
yes there have been vast demonstrations. Just Egypt is taking up all the news because their demonstrations are far bigger than other countries.

Many more demonstrations are taking place all over the east. You just dont know about it because its not on the 'main' news. Egypt is taking it all.
Parent
maybe thats the reason, because i really didnt hear anything about further demonstations in other countries. But why did Jordans president resign so quickly without even being a little bit more stubborn? What was the main reason for such a quick decision?
Parent
Jordan is one of the smallest economies and countries in the middle east. You loose the faith of the people in such a small economy it has more powerful ramifications than everywhere else.
Parent
Which university are you about to graduate from and what are you expected to attain?
Parent
from a uni in the top 3rd business school in the country (only just in the top 3rd though lol) its not a top uni by any means however its definately not a bad one at all. And i got a 2:1 last year so im expected to get a 2:1 this year. However its fucking loads of work, so im trying but if i fall into the 2:2 bracket i wouldnt be that angry. Its alot of work, my friendship group isnt exactly 'nerds and 'geeks' so i go out and get drunk etc more than i should be doing compared to most :)))).
Parent
Which University?
Parent
http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/table/2009/may/12/university-guide-business-management-studies

Plymouth - 43rd out of 113. Gone down this year :<

If you want to judge my knowledge based on my exact uni placements that seems interesting. If my uni was 30th then it would make fuck all difference to my knowledge right now tbh :) Obviously being in a top uni would make me pretty clever :).

Obviously your going to Cambridge right? with your claimed intelligence on here youd fit right in. Not my type of place though. Seems right up your street.
Parent
you dont win a debate vs a businessman. Its what we do, were made for it. However nobody wins a debate vs a politician, ive tried. The ability to out debate and influence peoples decisions is what high level business is about. Practice it my whole live then when i get there someday i can lay the smack down on some deals.
Parent
To win a debate, both parties need to be debating. You were just acting like a tard; but you can call it winning a debate if you want.
Parent
SUCCESS

Age: 22 ( 10 June 1988 )

o that would make my day if your not doing a degree. You must be at uni urself atm?? what are u studying?

Claiming to be the king of grammer and your highest qualification in English is an A level. thats unreal :DDDDDD

The shit u learn at A level is absolutely meaningless compared to the stuff im leaning now. Realy is truly basic stuff A level work compared to degree work.
Parent
I finished Computer Science w/ Business Studies at Leicester University, which is #2 on your list, last year when I was 21.
Parent
http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/table/2010/jun/04/university-guide-computer-sciences-and-it

My uni is 30th for I.T and computer science. yours is 13th. Universities massively vary in ranking according to subjects.

However obviously you are clever im mistaken. Liecester is a great uni, better than mine :). If we were to debate about computer science im sure id get rolled ;).

what are you planning to do now? or where are you working now?
Parent
it looks like we both have something in common. We act retarded online but we aint retarded offline.

gota love the inet, say what u want when u want to who u want with nothing coming out it. Nowhere else on the planet can u do that :).

EDIT: question is are you willing to go further with it? reckon il do a masters in business, get into the charterd institute of marketing and then im away.

when i get a degree and a masters degree il be the least qualified person in my family. thats epic :DDD.
Parent
Jeez it's not googling it's just reading the news - Jordans King replaced him and if analysis is to be believed for apparently two reasons; one to pre-empt an escalation for small protests (all of whom support the King) so in that small essence you're correct and two to enact reforms that've long been argued for.

It's not wholesale change - and iirc the new guy was PM previously.
Parent
They were replaced there wasn't fresh elections. It's like someone saying the labour party is corrupt and so replacing Ed with David. Sure it's different but how much so?
