slac and screenshot

Today I wanted to spec the ettv with r_shownormals 1 :

I didn't start the game with slac at all. Then I saw my new screenshot :

So slac is able to take screenshot without being launched ? WTF!

first its stealing our bank accounts, I could understand that, but now its taking screenshots when its even not online?! srsly, this is way too much!

if it took screenshot, you were running slac..

just to make this clear as many people have already asked me, this won't ban you.. i'll ban for r_shownormals and similar only if it's clear a cheat had been used

Well i played some games with slac today and haven't close it maybe. But i didn't start the game with slac. Is it possible to take screenshot even if the game is not launched with slac ?

Did you use gamestv to join the game? If so it might directly link it to SLAC which would autoload ET.

I requested the game on gamestv, copied the ip:port. Opened ET.exe (not slac) and pasted the ip:port in the consol.

So let's say that slac has 11650 users. All play ET and you make 100 screenshots of each player and each screenshot is 50 kb big. :o

What is with the anti-cheat status? It says 'OK'.
Do you fully rely on screenshots and is SLAC simply detecting cheats you have in your possession? Thats pretty weak...

Suddenly alot of people are getting busted through the screenshots while we never heared of them when SLAC was supposed to scan the memory.

They are a pain in the ass, i experience lag spikes everytime it tooks a screeny, look at my lagometer on my screenshots, everytime, small connection interruptions...
