Mafia + Heavy Rain = L.A. Noire.
Running on the GTA 4 engine, developed by Team Bondi and additional help from other Rockstar studios.
Amazing facial recognition, will be game changing imo.

why graphics isn't better? is that like this intentionally?
I hope it's more Heavy Rain than Mafia II 'cause damn Mafia II was shit ...
Heavy Rain was captivating as hell, too.
Shooting was bad
Driving was bad
Story had potential, but massively failed to draw in the user.
The world is EMPTY. For a 'sandbox game' it is entirely linear and with absolutely zero to see or do. It's stagnent, uneventful, unbelievable.
Vito is a twat. He has such little character that it's hard to care what becomes of him. He does whatever is asked of him, by anyone, without question - Joe is the true protagonist. He's the one with the plan, you're just a lapdog.
AND THE FUCKING DRIVING. Every 'mission' is basically 5 minutes of driving from A to B to C back to B to C to A and then back home safely to finish the mission. What a crock, it was so fucking boring.
Normally, I'd overlook many of this glaring issues and take the game for what it is - a decent single player experience. But the game had me believe it was the sequel to Mafia I, one of the true greats. The game teased me with it's sprawling metropolis, a cast rife with fantastic voice actors, the facade of a deep campaign ... all I got was shit.
All in all it gave me a great feeling, and after playing the original Mafia, I enjoyed this one even more. A lot of times it struck me how awesome some stuff was done, and how much potential everything had. The negatives you mentioned didn't even occur to me.
Your opinion is set in stone so I didn't bother replying.
HORY SHET, i didnt think i'd be alive to see that happen.
looks really nice indeed, but i dont have a console :I
luckily I just got a PS3 so def getting this.. =)
oh and I don't get the mafia 2 hate, was a great game imo, awesome storyline, atmosphere, details, soundtrack etc. More or less what I expected after Mafia 1, lack of freeride and stuff for replayability ruined it quite a bit but still..
