i do agree with what he said about preconceptions but the QW beta was soooooo laggy for me and so near to the release date that I didn't buy the game as I didn't see how these problems could be fixed without basically remaking the game

more gameplay videos and ones from non-developers (possibly competitive players aswell) would be good so that we don't get an advert but something closer to what is real gameplay but in a controlled environment still

the problem was that the released version wasnt any better.
nowadays "we" treat the release versions as betas and pretty much every game needs severe patching before its actually usable.
i can understand that this is due to pressure from the publisher rather than bad developers but its sad to see what it does to games with potential...
