ISP virus question

hello cross-nerdies, question:

i got a call from my ISP that i've a mega virus that will destroy my PC in some time if I won't do some system scan asap.

question:

is it possible that the can see/monitor what's happening with my system?:D
is it possible that a virus may destroy/brake/whatever their providing system?:O

didn't had any problems and never had antivirus/firewall installed in my life

have a router to my dads laptop, if this info is needed xD

gonna do system scan with "avast", just curious.

They can probably see there's a lot of suspicious traffic coming from your node (for instance spam mails).

they can only monitor the traffic your sending from your computer or your dad's computer. Since you said you have a router, that means all computers inside your house share the same external ip. That means your computer might be spreading the virus or something. I'm not the right person to talk about this, but doing a litle scan is a good idea :)
