'A proposal to move the nation's clocks forward by one hour to so-called "double summertime" will be published this week'

If the change happens:

Summer and sunset on 21st June 2011 the longest day of the year.
Sunrise 05:43
Sunset 22:22
Thats one long ass day. awesome

Winter Sunrise and Sunset on the 21st Decent 2011 the shortest day.
Sunrise 09:04 (seriously WTF??)
Sunset 16:53

Sunrise at 09:04..... how crappy would that be for going to work in the winter with it being pitch black and even colder.

Was great news that the homo government not selling the trees to private corps, would have been pretty fucked up. Much rather they play with time though!

What would be the case with Ireland though, would N.I be +1 GMT???

Sounds good to me, it was always dark in winter when i went to work anyway and the longer lighter nights would be great.

it wouldnt be dark it would be pitch black if sunrise is at 09:04. I would be going to work at like 07:45. Would make getting up in the morning harder with it being completely dark still. Atleast before you had some light when getting up and going to work.

Worst idea ever, the whole time change is outdated anyway. No doubt it would be great for summer, but for the winter it's shite. I would never see the sun Mon-Fri
