how fast?

Im thinking about getting a smartphone but i have a question.

How fast should a connection be at least to enjoy web browsing?
I know itsdifferent per website, but which speed is a must?

looking at the internet speeds etc. I experienced some slow connections already on my friend's phone. I definitely dont want that shit.

Also, which phone to pick (brand, os)
Dont need apple or blackberry

all phones running android. HTC desire. sony xperia x10i for example are good ones

tmobile got the best connection and the fastest imo. Never had troubles with it

Dont get me wrong, our leader hands out new mobiles every month. 8 cores 4 ghz processors n shit, but I need a phone for my business calls, i sell technology to microsoft and apple, north korean providers dont let u call outside north korea.

That is some serious outdated technology. My grand-grandpa just died of laughing, (he is 134 years old), I had to insert a new robot heart (not that hard).

I'd go for blackberry torch (thinking about getting it myself but i'm prolly wait til end of this year since there's no use in an internet-flat while i'm not in germany), since apple is "too mainstream" and more of a "toy" already in my opinion.
besides those i'd probably have a closer look at htc.

I just bought this budget android last week for £70 (£10 topup included too as it was on offer that weekend) but it runs sweet as a nut, not as fast as the likes of the htc desire but browsing the net is great and connects to wifi easy enough, good speedz.

os = obvious choice is android
brand = obvious choices are samsung htc boston
internet speed is irrelevant since it depends on ur network provider good service

but any conection > 1.5Mb/2Mb is enough
