the HoN servers were down for a couple of hours earlier and we were fucking DIEING for a game, so we considered playing LoL (played it once in early beta, thought it was shit)

so we watched a stream of LoL to see what it was about these days, and it looks absolutely AWFUL, it looks so slow, the lanes are far too close to the tower/rivers, cant deny creeps, just looks bad compared to HoN

e: the only appeal i can see for people is the fact it's free and you can play it with friends because of that, if both were free HoN would be the obvious choice for most i'd guess

Imo you can't compare the two games, I've played HoN about 3 or 4 times and thought it was shit, but I guess it's more competitive and hard. It is a lot slower than HoN, and no you can't deny unless you're gangplank but who gives a fuck, it's WAY more fun than HoN that's for sure.

You can't compare them at all, the way I see it HoN requires more micro'ing, while LoL requires the more gutsy approach. I like the latter.

True HoN is harder than LoL, but that's why it's fun, LoL is just shitgame when u push and farm for 50 min and then end game, but at HoN there is much more action, u have to deny and there is real lane controlling and stuff. though it might be harder for people to start HoN when haven't played dota before(never had that problem) got 3 years dota experience. EDIT// to noodle: i just offered you an account for cheap price, you don't have to get mad :d

Admittedly LoL can get boring around Mid game when the laning phase is sort of.. half on half off sort of thing, but imo later on it bursts to life, unless the teams are totally unequal.

LoL also has a lot of different assets that need to be controllled, not as much as in HoN but that doesn't mean the game is worse.

Every single person who calls LoL shit ( or vice versa ) is a mongolbrained idiot who should think before he writes.
