Forfeit loss for dignitas imo

Just looking through some of the old EC records, and I found something funny. Everyone knows dignitas won EC IX with a lineup of intact, sanctity, zenon, ankel, darkie and rapture. But... wait a sec... rapture also played in Plan-B AGAINST dignitas (aka mth) in the same cup! Now, according to the rules, this would be legal providing he has permission from the sups so long as he's registered on the dignitas account before the first monday of the final group stage matchweek. But he wasn't registered with them until the 4th April (while the final group stage matchweek started on the 22nd March).

(Yes, there is one final rule that could make it possible - the 'adding players after the deadline' rules allow players to be added in exceptional circumstances if every other player on the team's roster is removed from the allowed list. As far as I can tell this didn't happen either.)

So there you are - forfeit win for iNfensus; dignitas never won EC. Definitive proof. Kinda.

Nah - that was way before Spirit was a sup. Back in the golden age of NoOne, Kajab and Lake - Spirit was just a match admin.

To be honest, I think this is actually either a minor administrative error (in not removing the other players from the roster) or a problem with the CB system coping with the large quantity of time and roster changes on the dignitas cid since then.

It's not the fact a player swapped teams - as I pointed out, that's allowed in two different ways in the rules. The problem is that as far as I can tell neither of those ways were used (probably, as I said, due to a minor administrative oversight).

Anyway - it was just something I found funny looking through the archives.

There wasn't any rules about switching teams back then, as far as I remember. That is why he was allowed to switch from plan-B to dignitas.

The rules I linked to were the rules for that cup, afaik (certainly got the right lid). I guess they might have been added retrospectively.

i heard lion also played in 2 teams in EC :O after his team droped out he played at the computer of his mate for another team


thats just what a friend of him told me :x
