I just fucking format because of this very problem and made a clean installation of Windows 7 64-bit, everything runs smoothly as it should and I decide to install drivers for everything. So I was installing some random drivers and I went in to Windows Update to make sure windows doesn't install some gay shit, then I saw that it found drivers for most of my hardware (network adapter etc). So I was like cool, and chose to let it download/install drivers for nvidia etc.
well after surfing around while letting it download the drivers I noticed that my screen flashed and apparantly windows had installed the nvidia drivers for me.
then I notice it.. the fucking lag bs that I just format because of was back. I didn't even have this problem without nvidia drivers after a clean install....
See image:
basically I just get this random delay when draging windows around etc.
I just tried installing some older nvidia drivers with no luck. Can someone link me to some proper drivers or a solution to this problem? :(

Are you sure your computer can handle x64 OS?
Is your gfx card recognized on the driver browser?
....
NEED MOAR INFOS
8800GTS.

shouldn't matter, I had this problem with 32-bit XP as well.
Is your gfx card recognized on the driver browser?
hm, can't find it in the device manager although I don't know exactly where it should be, but I just uninstalled all drivers again though
and yea it shows up now under display adapters after installing drivers.
just installed some old drivers and the problem remains }x
I'm just gonna have to roll with the transparency fix I guess }x
your screenshot obviously shows that w7 isn't using ur gfx card, problem is driver for sure.
I have tried the latest, an old one and the one that I got with windows update. All of them had this problem. Has to be some issue with 8800GTS or smth, no idea.
+ 8800 is defintly dead nao :D
1) crossfire ftw
2) 8800GT SLI is so2007 :D
why would I want to buy a new graphics card when I play ET, QL and CS 1.6? :D
no way, I'll just take the free card and roll with that, 1 is better than 2.
however yeah since u play those games enjoy ur (shit) SLI.
about the solution, try it with other os
edit: I think you missunderstood me :D with "roll" I didn't mean "own", "roll with that" is slang and pretty much means "live with it" (be satisified) http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=931
+ I hate nvidia since my 9800 gt is a real shit ^_^
weird, but still sucks cause I don't want transparency :D
and it's also weird that I had this problem on XP as well, i'm thinking my graphics card might be all fried up or some shit, been using it since like 2007/8 or smth now and perhaps transparency just "cover" the lag a bit or smth.
Too bad I'm on XP now so can't turn on transparency or other of that shit :/
Only switched cause of the ram issue }x
heard that 64-bit XP isn't all that great.
u could also try NGO drivers for nvidia
but yea whatever, guess i'm just gonna roll with the transparency fix
