new cpu?

I'm thinking of buying a new cpu.
and here is my question. What's better
Core2Duo E6400 or any Athlon for example 4200+ X2
and which graphic card u prefer?
GF7600GT or Radeon X1800XT
or something other, give me ur opinion

I want more fps ... :D

core2duos kinda own in benchmarks. And for ET nvidia cards are better.

Even though I'm preffering AMD,I think Intel has better CPUs atm. And gefore > ati.

but zenix is right Geforce have batter support for opengl but the ati radeon card is much better and cheeper.
