exams .......

16 hours a day working in the mines is looking pretty good at the moment. Chronic red bull drinking and being more wired than a crack addict, 4 hours sleep a day for a month. 3rd year uni exams are ridiculous.

Literaly need to work 18 hours a day for the next 3 weeks to get decent marks.

if i dont survive it was nice knowing u.

if i pass all the exams im going to drink myself into a coma

Does your grade matter much (i.e. I know it'll appear on your transcript, but will it count towards your degree?).
Parent
I think as long as you get a 'pass' then it's fine here, but higher the better at the end of the day in terms of people looking to employ you (since they judge every cunting thing on grades these days it seems). Luckily everything I've done so far I've managed to hit late 80's/90+ % getting distinction LoL
Parent
That's the way to go. It's worth working in your first year imho, even if it doesn't 'count'. Good luck

Plymouth university ranking 2008 for business when i came here: 43/120 universities.

almost a top 3rd business school and ive never met a single person on any course throughout the last 3 years that has an average that high.

not even 1 person works at that level here on any course.

gota love crossfire :> nerd central :DDD

but that is epic and i salute u for the sheer amount of time and effort that is require in order to do that.

Luckily I don't do business :pp but our place (well the automotive department) has a good reputation too through other universities, dealerships and places to go on placement etc too which is a nice thing :D

Should've done more earlier matey, nobody should need to work that much for a grade! You'll end up leaking knowledge like a sieve imo, but what do I know. Got my exams coming up as well, so know the depressing feeling.. good luck!
literaly going from the 2nd year to the 3rd year is like going from GCSE straight to a PHD at cambridge with 100,000 people spectating u while writing the exam.

what my stomach feels like atm :>

the sheer amount of work u need to do for exams in the 3rd year is unreal compared to the 2nd year.

I'm just about to finish my 3rd year as well and don't agree, but obviously each to their own, and different courses different places etc. This year I only have 6 exams, last year 8 (I've now done my dissertation which took 2 modules off the total). All comparable in difficulty.
Parent
wel i forgot crossfire is the collection of the brightest minds in the world. everyone on here gets 1sts in everything.
why else would everyone be 24/7 crossfire refreshers, if we had lives we wouldnt be on here would we :>.
3rd year exams arent hard.... I never met a single person that has ever said that.
Parent
What are you talking about? Find me a post where I state 3rd year exams are not hard. I'm saying that my exams are the same kind of level they where in the 2nd year, and haven't felt the huge jump that you are talking about.

I also think that if you start revising earlier in the year because you really want a grade, then that would be preferential to doing 18 hours a day later on and constantly stressing about it. Although I except some people do work better in different circumstances to myself, working long days late in the term may actually work for you (this is a sincere sentence, although it reads sarcastically I'd imagine).

Like I said though, each to their own.

good luck :)
Good luck with your exams :)
