They were #4 in last tourny in Germany so it isn't that big surprise. Just disiplined game style, defence and goals from counter-attacks where Germany is amazingly good. Uwe Krupp have done great work so far with his team.

Czech Republic - Finland, at least 2 stupid decisions. Ruutus case was strange but Komarovs case was the worst decision ever. As well Aaltonens inhibition was pretty questionable. Not saying we lost because of those but wasted many minutes for killing those penalties.

Same thing went for Tseks, only thing what sucks at referees is their inability to keep same line whole game

Ruutu cross-checked Jagr -> deserved penalty -> Cervenka (?) comes "fight" with Ruutu (he really didn't even fight) as a total outsider and right decision would've been 2mins for both in my opinion. Komarov just played that situation till the end, he tried if the puck was still in the game and tried to score and there wasn't really any slashing and if there were there should've been Czech penalty as well because they came to the Komarov with really agressive attitude.

Agree with you that referees should keep game in their hands.

Didn't really watch that match, but remember one situation wheren Tsek got hooking penalty and he didn't even have his stick in his hands so there was one case. Penalties went 8x 2min for finns and 7x 2min + 10min for cheeeezes.

That is the reason why that whole competition is joke, should watch NHL or football

"Late"? He just played situation in the end. You never know if puck is still playable. Puck was under goalies pad and he just tried to stuff the puck in. After that two Czechs came to beat Komarov down and there really wasn't any slashing.

play was whistled down already-late. I dont think he heard that and thats why he continued it. Its called slashing because there isnt any better penalty-reason to call for. And for what Czechs did, its called hockey. If you dont cross a line you aint getting penalty there. You call that the worst decision ever when infact is was 100% correct. I guess beeing biased does wonderful things. <3 hockey discussion

He didn't play after whistle. It just seemed so because two Czech players come to knock him down. Many times puck is just behind goalies pad and you can stuff it in. That was what it was all about, playing situation till the end. And this is not biased opinion.

And if that was penalty worthy thing, the knockdown Czech defenders did should have been too.

What about Ruutus case? No penalty for Plekanec after coming up to Ruutu after his check to Jagr? He came to the situation as a total outsider, he had nothing to do with that situation plus it was after the whistle.
