Gray screen when starting ET

I guess this is familiar problem.

so I'm trying to launch ET via media manager but when ET starts it's only a gray screen and ET stops responding.

I remember I got this working some years ago but I've forgot how.

any ideas to get it working?

Turn off UAC if you're on vista or win7. Run game as admin. Failing that, reinstall it using ultimate installer.

Running on XP and just trying to open ET/run demos. It seems that first time after reboot ET works fine but any case after that gives that gray screen.

i have that 2 but i only get it when i have timescale 100 on. after i set it back to 1 it worked again... but i dunno if you have that, if you do just try it :D

delete the et.config from etmain/etpro

Swap your config @ etmain.

Del C:\Windows\System32 this should resolve the problem

Go etpro\profiles and delete the folder with your name.
